A 5% diphenyl/95% dimethyl polysiloxane stationary phase is a general purpose, low polarity phase that is the most popular GC stationary phase used for a wide variety of applications. These columns are commonly used for analysis of drugs, pesticides, hydrocarbons, PCBs, essential oils, semivolatiles and solvent impurities. The Elite-5 is a crosslinked phase in which all residual catalysts and low molecular weight fragments have been removed providing a tight mono-modal distribution and extremely low bleed. Equivalent to USP G27 and G36 phases.
